FW tau plasma cannons on order. The shoulder guards will have to be raised slightly to allow for heavy weapons which may or may not be on arms (probably not). May keep a sword arm, may not. Any thoughts?

Here is the new Skitarii "sentinel" taking shape. Besides copious amounts of greenstuffing required to hide gaps this will be fitted with twin plasma cannons (thanks again to the tau - this case from the FW hammerhead upgrade for plasma cannons). I've decided that it will most definitely not be fitted with tracks. My favourite bit happens to be the screen area through which the skitarius sees the world (it will have a domed screen in the centre). The bases of a tau drone was cut off absent mindedly to find it was the perfect size.

You can see my next project in the background to the last picture. I've decided not to put the pilot in the chair in front of the blood slaughterer but behind it and viewing the world through a live feed form the sensory array (thank you tau) at the front. Ma y or may not have tracks.

Experiments with plasticard

No need for expensive Leman Russ track guards when plasticard is only £1 an A4 sheet. Great stuff. Not much additional work admittedly but you can get a feel for size. Need to order additional windows from FW (done) before constructing the cockpit/place where the magic happens.

In answer to your points Riseofthemagi (lets stay in character you never know who might be reading this post in years to come), the servitor assistants will be part of a diorama type unit base so they can be removed individually but fit within the context of the model rather than just stragglers. My thoughts are to use the cenobite that come with Grimaldus (Black Templar) that is lugging the church with him and have him dragging the next unfortunate to the chair(s) at the back; I'll use the servitor with the quartermaster to be taking away one who has had his soul removed and is now a withered husk of a man. Also want to have a couple in front consecrating the ground it moves on: one will have a ritual brush (remove dead leaves etc..) the other will be the rogue apostate preacher with the censers, cleansing the way forth. The psyker himself will be strapped in to a machine (probably based up the cyclops) and letting forth. I'll probably use the rogue psyker who's head is about to blow as the base for him.

So work is slow right now; however, I have managed to upload a picture of the princeps and beginnings of a command squad. The guy on the left will be the master vox handler whilst the guy on the right will probably end up on the Psychic choir model as chief annointer.
